Album version of Invocations.

My wife and I decided to manifest our dreams by purchasing a bus and began the process of converting it into a tiny home.

We spent some time in Seattle visiting my family over Christmas, followed by a flight to Kansas where we picked up our bus and (she) drove the bus all the way back to Utah.

While on this journey, I was inspired to write the lyrics to Invocations.

This song is about claiming personal power, hard work and perseverance to obtain freedom from the tyranny of institutionalized wage slavery.

Lyrics

This one goes out to all my people out there
Killing themselves with a 9-5
Then they have to have a 5-10, a side hustle AND sell their blood just to make ends meet!
On that grind, on that grind yo!

Don’t wanna be another slow suicide
How am I? I’m survivin’, how ‘bout you?
Are you a wage-slave too?
I refuse to repeat, the cycle of a slow suicide
This day forth I am free, all aboard

I’m so sick and tired, of the same old shit
Talkin' ‘bout myself, and my depression
There are more important things out there in the world than the man in the mirror
Ay with the Molly, Percocet, gonna lift me up from my despair
Fuck it!
I’ll take the mask off, because this is who I really am.

All I really want is to be on this stage
Engage you in the crowd, make you dance, jump around
I don’t wanna be, another casualty of society
Claim my power now, I won’t go down without a fight

Don’t wanna be another slow suicide
How am I? I’m survivin’, how ‘bout you?
Are you a wage-slave too?
I refuse to repeat, the cycle of a slow suicide
This day forth I am free, all aboard

If you’re a white man in America (Nobody gives a fuck)
If you’re a black man with a megaphone
Let’s work together to spread hope, fulfill the prophecy of love
As for me? As for us?
Well I guess some of us just born to roam
Unschool me, pimp out my skoolie.
The emerging class divides as college leads to crippling debt
Enroll yourself in schools of mystery instead
Speak the invocations of the dead.

What I say I’m gonna do, I always do because I will it
When I say it then it’s done, it’s already happened in the future
When you think about it time is like a river running through it
Light thoughts and intentions running down stream like the current trends
You don’t gotta say a lot, keep your words pure manifest thoughts.
Abusing the vision will get you a one-way ticket to seeing what happens when you pour out the bowl of Appolyon.

This day forth I am free

Don’t wanna be another slow suicide
How is O? I’m survivin’, how ‘bout you?
Are you a wage-slave too?
I refuse to repeat, the cycle of a slow suicide
This day forth I am free, all aboard
